Young Writers and Photography @ Cardiff Elementary | YWC 2024

Young Writers and Photography will integrate the exploration of photography with the craft of writing to expand the way young people see and experience the world around them. Exposure to mentor photographs and texts will support students as they develop photography skills and are inspired to write about the images they create.

Photography and writing experiences will include:

• play with digital tools
• exposure to elements of photography
• photo composition
• storytelling through words and images
• nature exploration
• exploring writing styles and strategies

While this camp is designed for beginning photographers, we welcome students at all levels of experience to participate.

For students entering grades 5-8. Cost is $300 (includes all materials). $50 non-refundable processing fee included. Eventbrite service fees included. Last day to request a refund is June 10, 2024..

What is a class/group? Camp will consist of up to 25 students and facilitated by two SDAWP writing teachers and two teaching assistants.

What materials will I need? Fees includes all materials.

What is the refund policy? No refunds after June 17th.
